Visions

Chadwick Lane Murray’s book VISIONS is a haunting journey into the networks of power, the dangers of corruption, and the risks posed by new and advancing technologies. It explores our drive towards war, violence, and venality, placing humanity and idealism ahead of social injustice.

Chadwick Lane Murray

My sensitive nature makes me perceive even minor injustices, and my keen sense of justice causes me to take such things to heart. Still, I am not a person who will blow a fuse at the slightest little thing. I will usually manage, after some reflection, to consider such events rationally, but my first reaction is often much more emotional. If the initial anger is gone, I am always ready to apologize for spontaneous reactions and accept constructive criticism. My friends appreciate this mixture of emotionality and rationality. They see me as a compassionate and caring individual. Its rationality protects me, providing insulation so that my intense emotions do not guide me too much. Its well-being at work depends mainly on a particular mood that day. On a bad day, I am more sensitive to criticism. On a good day; however, I am excited, powerful, and passionate, and I inspire my colleagues with my positive energy.

Quote From Author

“Is a masterful debut and heralds a dazzling and singular
voice against man’s inhumanity to man. War is hell,
and it is an injustice to everyone.”

Note: the Vietnam-era letters were obtained in the ‘60s and ‘70s. I had friends who fought and died there.  Although barely legible and in some cases, they were unable to decipher, they had a central theme: fear of dying and fear they would not cover/protect their fellow brothers in arms.  But other thoughts were revealed: hope, aspiration, families, and dreams for the future, none of which will ever come true…
